Description

Modeling and Simulation (M&S) is being used worldwide by the military, industry, and academia as a technological enabler to enhance analysis, acquisition, and training.
This course introduces M&S concepts, explains how simulations work, explores how M&S is used, and forecasts where M&S technology is heading. Review model types and modeling methods to understand how simulations work.
Survey typical and emerging M&S applications and study in depth three important M&S paradigms. Includes hands-on experiences with simulations and developing simple simulations.

Topics Include

  • Simulation applications and purposes
  • Common simulation tools
  • M&S concepts
  • Introduction to modeling
  • Fidelity
  • Simulation credibility
  • M&S technology trends
