Meet your Instructor

Carl “Bo” Gardner is the Lean Continuous Improvement Manager at
BASF. 

Mr. Gardner has over 20 years of experience in lean implementation,
operations management, supply chain, logistics and quality management in the automotive, aerospace and consumer product industries. He implemented A3 reporting techniques, improved process flows, VSM, and LCA, and mentored Six Sigma Black Belts. The results from implementation of LEAN systems includes over $4.5 MM in savings from improvements in labor, scrap, energy, raw materials and obsolescence; with labor productivity improved by 24%. 

Mr. Gardner holds a Master of Science in Business Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business, Operations Management.

He is Six Sigma Black Belt (S.S.B.B.) and Lean-Six Sigma Green Belt
certified from UAH. Mr. Gardner also has extensive training in Leadership
Development and Coaching.
