Description

Just starting in the data science field and looking to become a better analyst? Seeking additional knowledge to gain a competitive edge in the market? Learn how to program for effective data analysis using current data science methodologies with R, a powerful open-source programming language and environment.

Complete working R code will be presented. Hands-on, instructor-led exercises will reinforce participants’ abilities and confidence with R. At the end of this course you will be able to bring various files into the software application, manipulate the information therein, conduct exploratory analysis to better understand what questions to ask, and transform the data into beautiful visualizations to quickly determine answers to very complex questions.

What you will Learn

  • R and the syntax that makes it powerful for statistics, machine learning, and analytics
  • Generic use programming language concepts as they are implemented throughout R’s high-level statistical language
  • Practical solutions for everyday questions in wrangling data, reading data in various formats, accessing third party packages to reduce time having to write code, writing mathematical functions, debugging and troubleshooting, organizing files/saved work and commenting R code
