Description
Systems engineering is a primary approach to the increasing size and complexity of modern systems.
This overview is designed to introduce the systems engineer and project manager to fundamental concepts and operating principles of systems engineering.
Begin with basic techniques that govern the SE process and identify how SE fits into the overall project management process.
Address the systems engineering problem-solving process and some of the traditional techniques used by systems engineers. Learn about analysis and control tools that provide balance to the SE process.
Conclude with a discussion of current trends in SE and SE management.
Topics Include
- Systems engineering process models
- Systems engineering fit to project management
- Problem-solving methods
- Traditional SE techniques
- Analysis and control tools
